San Francisco
My partner François Ruel and I are back from San Francisco where we gave at the OSIsoft users conference 2011 a presentation entitled: Althlete monitoring. We received quite good comments on our work. The presentation will be made available online soon.
My blog at The Hockey News
You can read my most recent post at The Hockey News: How to harness the power of team cohesion (http://bit.ly/gOx5fx). I give answers to some important questions on team cohesion: What does it really mean? Where does it come from? How do we build it? How do we keep it over time in an ever-changing environment?
On-ice testing
Here’s a look at our new on-ice testing approach. The test allows us to measure: maximal power generated, critical power, time to exhaustion, breathing rate, breathing amplitude heart rate, biomechanical efficiency. A report is produced following the test, with recommendations on the training necessary to improve the performance of the player.
New protocols are now validated to evaluate the rehabilitation process following an injury. We are able to measure the difference in power of both legs and thus determine if the player has fully recovered.
